Akme

Founded in Los Angeles, AKME is an experimental footwear brand with a strong emphasis on storytelling. Founders Jesus and Riko cite the post-apocalyptic 1984 fantasy film Nausicaä as well as the Japanese photo magazine Provoke as their key inspirations. Blending technical hiking functionality and Vibram soles with monochromatic designs, they provide footwear as a form of “survival tactics” for a bleak future.
