Förstberg Ling

Förstberg Ling is a Malmö-based architecture studio founded in 2015 by Björn Förstberg and Mikael Ling. The practice’s approach is rooted in a close reading of each assignment, combining technical know-how with critical questioning to challenge established conventions through refinement rather than rejection.

Their work operates at the intersection of precision and experimentation, where drawings and sketches guide the process but the built outcome remains the central focus.

The studio has a long-standing collaboration with TRÈS BIEN, including the Very Good Stool, designed for TRÈS BIEN by Förstberg Ling and produced by Malmö-based cabinet maker Ali Atié. Crafted from a single plank of pine, the stool is defined by continuous surface transitions, where top and legs meet without interruption, and has been produced in a special Pantone 3500C green edition.
