A self-proclaimed "hands-on designer", Margaret Howell has been making clothes for fifty years. The British designer made her name with menswear, drawn to it for its structure and functionality. Striving for a timeless and lived in look, Howell designs clothes to last and finds reassurance in traditional materials like tweed, linen, cashmere and poplin.
