Iconic footwear brand Dr Martens was established in the 1940s by Dr Klaus Maertens who designed the first military style boot after returning from WWII. The innovative shock absorbent air cushioned soles were an immediate hit and the brand’s iconic status was cemented in the 1960s when the 1460 model became synonymous with the music scene. To this day Dr Martens remains faithful to the same formula of comfort and functionality, offering a range of styles with the signature yellow stitching at the welt.
