New York based designer Emily Bode was the first female designer to show at NYFW: Men's. Her eponymous line, Bode, launched in 2016 with a collection of one-offs made from antique textiles. Blending modern workwear silhouettes with techniques of the past, like quilting, mending and appliqué, each piece tells a story. Bode gives new life to vintage patterns and fabrics, "repurposing that labor of love into a new piece that will be utilized".
